The Friday Five on FRIDAY! Yeah!

1.) If you were in a band (you know, a successful one…), and you HAD to remake an old song, what band/song would you choose and why? Eartha Kitt’s “I Wanna be Evil,” because it rocks, man!

2.) If you were a Make-a-Wish child, what would you wish for (and why)? An indoor pool, complete with a tricked-out, 4-bedroom house. So I could swim every day.

3.) If you had the chance to learn when you were going to die, would you take it? Would you tell anyone if you knew (either your date of death or theirs)? NO! I would not want to know. And no, I would not tell anyone!

4.) If you couldn’t die until you helped someone, would you rather live forever selfishly or die earlier? huh? Silly question. If you helped someone, would you die? Anywho, I would rather not live selfishly, if I could help it.

5.) If there’s any goal you haven’t accomplished yet, what is it and what is stopping you? World domination. Stupid yuppies.

The Friday Five on Monday

1. If you could have anything you wanted to eat for a day, what would you choose for your meals and snacks? Lobster, Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Ice Cream, Coca-Cola, Pub Cheese & Crackers (boring, eh?)

2. Is there ever a dish/food or dessert you wanted to try but never had the opportunity, what is it? Not really. (If I want to try something I will.)

3. What’s a dish/food or dessert you’ve tried that you wish you hadn’t? No regrets. There are some foods I tried but did not like them, but I don’t regret trying them.

4. Ever watch cooking shows? (i.e. “Great Chefs,” “Epicurious,” etc.) Not regularly. Have only seen sporadic shows. Would rather just cook for myself.

5. Are you hungry yet? Not really, I have already had my supper.

The Friday Five (On Saturday)

1) Would you rather live in a world with or without technology such as computers, cars, airplanes, bombs? Rather live in this world – however, I could be happy in the 1700s or 1800s.

2) If you had to live without either heating in your house or air conditioning, which one would you keep? That’s easy. I would keep heat. (I don’t have air conditioning now, anyway.)

3) If you had to own five dogs, what kind would you get? All kinds, mutts/mixed breeds prefered, would adopt them all from the pound.

4) If the world had a front porch, what would you do on it? Read. Hang out.

5) Would you rather live in a neighborhood where you know all of your neighbors by name, or where everyone sticks to their own business? That’s a hard one. I would like to live in a neighborhood where I know everyone’s name AND they stick to their own business.

What book am I? Read on…

You’re The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!

by Douglas Adams

Considered by many to be one of the funniest people around, you are

quite an entertainer. You’ve also traveled to the far reaches of what you deem possible,

often confused and unsure of yourself. Life continues to jostle you around like a marble,

but it’s shown you so much of the world that you don’t care. Wacky adventures continue to

lie ahead. Your favorite number is 42.

Westbrook

Last Thursday Edmund and I finished packing our apartment. Last Friday we drove up to our new apartment in Westbrook, Maine – less than a mile from my parents house. Yesterday I got my car from up North.

Change is good.

We start our new life in Maine because it’s “The way life should be.” And I am growing up now (but not too much!)

The Friday Five

Friday Five — February 4, 2005

1. How old were you when you got your drivers license? I was seventeen, it was right before my senior year in high school.

2. Did you get your own car right away, use the family car, or bum rides from friends? I used my father’s truck, and it was awesome.

3. What was your first car and what was it like? My grandmother gave me a huge black car that was on it’s last legs. Was fun.

4. How old were you when you got your first traffic ticket and what happened? I was 18 years old and I was driving on campus at UMaine Orono. I missed a stop sign because I was not used to driving (was driving someone else’s car.)

5. What is your favorite car story, be it an accident, road trip, etc? My grandmother and I were driving from Maine to New York State to have Thanksgiving dinner with my parents. About half-way through New Hampshire we broke down. She needed an alternator or something. So we spent the day at this strange house waiting for the car to be fixed. Was quite an adventure.
