Whelp. It’s time. I got a rude comment on the Lounging with LannaLee website. Time to make it clear I will not be trifled with.
The funny thing is, I don’t have a lot of people commenting on my many websites. (I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, I suppose I “should” have more comments. I just don’t care enough about it to do anything.) This comment, which was struck as soon as I became aware of it, was full of malice and f-bombs. And has no place on my webpage. My “house,” if you will.
You see, if someone comes over to your house and shits on the floor, what are you going to do? Kick them out and clean it up. That’s what I did.
To help with my comment policy I used materials from About.com’s How to Write a Blog Comment Policy with inspiration from John Scalzi’s Whatever blog (Check out his comment policy, it’s aces!).
I haven’t had an express policy in the past because I didn’t need one. I probably don’t need one now, there was only one transgressor, but I figured I’d get it done while I was thinking about it.

This site is owned and administered by Lanna Lee Maheux (me!). Comments are welcomed and encouraged on this site, but there are some instances where comments will be edited or deleted as follows:
- Comments deemed to be spam or questionable spam will be deleted.
- Comments including profanity and rudeness will be deleted.
- Comments containing language or concepts that I deem offensive will be deleted.
- Comments that attack a person individually/personally will be deleted.
Note: you can be edgy in your comments, just not rude. I will allow profanity if I deem it appropriate.
