Lanna Lee Maheux
Lanna Lee Maheux lives in Westbrook, Maine and is a trainer, actress and improv artiste. Lanna has been a member of several short-form improv troupes. She is a founding member of “Mmm, Comedy” an Improv/Sketch/Stand Up Comedy Variety show that ran for seven months at Tobacco Road in Hell’s Kitchen. Lanna studied long-form Improv (The Harold) at the at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in Manhattan. Lanna grew up in Monson, Maine, which is located in the Moosehead Lake Region of Central Maine. She has one brother, Bill Maheux, who is a long-haul trucker. Her parents, Walter & Dottie Maheux, live in Westbrook Maine (near Portland.) Her dad manages Hillside Lumber and her mother is an administrative assistant. In January 2004, Lanna celebrated her one-year anniversary with her boyfriend, Edmund Charles Davis (Quinn). On January 13th Edmund proposed to Lanna and she said yes! They married in her hometown of Monson, on July 3rd, 2004. Edmund and Lanna adopted their kitty Hunter “Socks” Thompson in October, 2003. Preternaturally intelligent, Hunter has his own web presence at http://huntersocksthompson.com. Lanna likes: Coca Cola, singing, bein’ silly, kissing Edmund, hugging Hunter “Socks” Thompson, puppy dogs, flowers, cheesecake, steak, my computer, X-Files, Monty Python, Stephen King, trashy romance novels, sleeping in, sewing, and short walks in the ocean. Lanna has been twisting balloons since the early '90s and is now recognized as one of the top twisters in New York. She taught a workshop at Twist & Shout 2004, The Best Balloon Twister's and Entertainer’s Convention, which was held in Peabody, MA. As Goober the Clown, Lanna has won several awards for her balloon twisting abilities and her stage show. Her naughty balloons have been seen in Maxim Magazine. Lanna’s favorite stage role was that of Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress. Other roles include: Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar; "Margaret Meade"/Tribe in Hair; "Sonia" in Godspell; Snoopy in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown; Lucy in Snoopy; Denise in Bonjour la Bonjour; and Chick Boyle in Crimes of the Heart.
